Rev. Delaney to Serve at Edmonds PC
Rev. Amy Delaney was approved at the congregational meeting as the Temporany Supply Pastor at Edmonds Presbyterian Church. Congrats!
BACKGROUND INFORMATION FROM REV. DELANEY:
The Rev. Amy Delaney is a Presbyterian Minister who lives in Shoreline with her husband, Mark, and their three children. A little about her family: Mark is a research team manager for MicroEncoder in Kirkland. Matt, age 17, is a Senior at Shorewood High School and Stage Manager for the 2010-11 school year. Laura, age 15, is a sophomore at Shorewood and also quite involved in the drama program. Jacob is a sixth grader at Meridian Park Elementary in Shoreline and an avid soccer player.
Before coming to Edmonds, Pastor Amy served as a Spiritual Director for the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life 9-month Ignatian retreat for the past 8 years. In order to focus her time and energy on this current position she is currently taking a sabbatical from directing in the retreat. She also has served as Designated Pastor at Renton First Presbyterian Church (1998-2000) and as a Parish Associate at Wedgwood Presbyterian Church (2000 - 2010). Her service to the Presbytery of Seattle has included serving as a member or chairperson on the education committee, the budget committee, the Presbytery council, the Permanent Judicial Commission, the Spiritual formation ministry team, and various assignments from Committee on Ministry. She also is one of the presenters for the sexual misconduct prevention training required of all minister members of Seattle Presbytery.
With this new position she will be transferring to North Puget Sound Presbytery and offering her gifts for service there.
She enjoys photography, crocheting, playing guitar, reading mystery novels, and hanging out with family and friends.
