Welcome to Rev. Sandy Hackett

Rev. Sandy HackettRev. Sandra L. Hackett comes to serve as the temporary pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Everett after 24 years of ministry in the PCUSA, serving churches in Tulsa, OK and Minneapolis, MN as well as Bellevue, Seattle, and Bothell, WA.  A graduate of Seattle Pacific University and Fuller Seminary, she also spent a year at the University of Oxford, England, on a preaching fellowship.

Sandy’s connection to Everett began when her father, Lt. Col. Richard Barger, became the commander of Paine Field in 1966.  It rained for 3 straight months that first winter but her family fell in love with the mountains and the Sound.  They decided to stay in the area after retiring from the Air Force and moved to Kirkland. Back then, the Bothell-Everett Highway actually wound through green countryside to get them to their new home.

Sandy and her husband Dave have been married for nearly 28 years and have loved raising their three daughters, Katelyn (23), Anna (20) and Mairin (13).  Dave is also an ordained PC(USA) minister, serving now as a mission consultant with visionSynergy in Edmonds.  When she's not at the church, Sandy will either be hanging out with her kids, knitting, or playing with her 3 year old golden retriever, Maltby.

As the temporary pastor, Sandy will be working a 2/3 time schedule.  She will be available Sunday - Wednesday every week, usually in the office between 9am and 3pm on weekdays.  Contact Sandy by email or at the church office.
